Darius Rucker (born May 13, 1966) is an American musician. He first gained fame as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish, which he founded in 1986 at the University of South Carolina along with Mark Bryan, Jim "Soni" Sonefeld and Dean Felber. The band has released five studio albums with him as a member, and charted six top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Rucker co-wrote the majority of the band's songs with the other three members.

True Believers is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Darius Rucker, and his third in the country genre. It will be released soon via Capitol Records Nashville. Rucker wrote ten of the album's twelve tracks.

Rucker's first two country albums, Learn To Live and Charleston, SC 1966 both topped the Billboard Country album chart and produced five No. 1 singles including Come Back Song, This, Alright, It Won t Be Like This For Long and Don t Think I Don t Think About It.

For this album, we really paid attention to what our friends and fans were telling us on the road, shares Rucker. The result is an album that I m so proud of because my fans really have been the true believers since I released my first single to country radio. I can t wait for everyone to hear it!
