Tagline: The end of the world... is just the beginning.

Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe stars as Noah, a man chosen by God for a great task before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world.

Noah is probably one of the worst bible-based movies ever made, if not the worst. If someone is going to make a movie based on a biblical character/story they should probably read the book first. It is clear that Aronofsky (both the director and screenwriter) hasn't read the story at all. Granted there really isn't much detail for the story of Noah, a man, a boat, a flood and some animals. Still, magical beans that grow forests or angel rock things and exploding swords!

We know based on a book means some things will be made up or changed, however this is not a story about Noah, maybe a man named Noah, but certainly not Noah from the bible.

If someone is just going to make stuff up, a thing they call "fiction," then make up an original story. The events depicted in this film are as alien to the source material as one can get. It should have been labeled as science fiction and not based on anything, because in the end that is what this film really is, a made up sci-fi film with no redeemable qualities.

Do you like movies that make no sense, have unlikable lead characters, bad CGI, and a story that leaves you saying "what the heck was that," then this movie is for you. Otherwise avoid, avoid, avoid.

It's only our opinion, but we are allowed to make that up.

Did You Know?

According to Darren Aronofsky, the animals seen in the film are "slightly tweaked designs of real existing animals." No real animals were used in production at all.
