Dawn of the Planet of the Apes moves its release date up a week from July 18 to July 11, 2014. This was the release date originally scheduled for Fast and Furious 7, but due to the untimely and sad passing of Paul Walker the film is still in a state of limbo and no new release date, or completion of filming date is scheduled.

UPDATE: Star Vin Diesel announced on Facebook Sunday night that the seventh installment of the franchise will be released April 10, 2015.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes directed by Matt Reeves is the follow up to Rise of the Planet of the Apes released in 2011.

Synopsis for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.

Editorial Review: Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a revolution; an action-packed epic featuring stunning visual effects and creatures unlike anything ever seen before. At the story's heart is Caesar (Andy Serkis), a chimpanzee who gains human-like intelligence and emotions from an experimental drug. Raised like a child by the drug's creator (James Franco), Caesar ultimately finds himself taken from the humans he loves and imprisoned. Seeking justice, Caesar assembles a simian army and escapes -- putting man and primate on a collision course that could change the planet forever.
