Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, which knocked Gravity from its pedestal and takes the number one position this weekend.

Bad Grandpa's success can be attributed to a number of factors. Even though it was a spin-off, the movie's painful pratfalls and documentary-style footage aligned nicely with the very strong Jackass brand.

Gravity at number two has earned $199.8 million so far, which ranks ninth on the year. While it's going to lose most of its IMAX screens to Ender's Game next weekend it should still hit the $250M mark before it's gone from theaters.

The Counselor is the latest example of the limitations of "star power" at the box office, and a very poor $8 million take, shows that audiences care more about what they watch, rather than who they watch.

Opening This Upcoming Weekend...

Ender's Game - In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer. There is also a Sneek Screening on Thursday Night, before it officially opens nationwide on Friday, November 1st.

Other Movies include: Freebirds, Last Vegas, About Time and Man of Tai Chi
