The epic global phenomenon of "The Hunger Games" arrives at its powerful final chapter with "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" – in which Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) now fully realizes the stakes are no longer just for survival, they are for the future.

True Detective is written by Nic Pizzolatto and directed by Cary Fukunaga. It centers on two detectives, Rust Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) and Martin Hart (Woody Harrelson), whose lives collide and entwine during a seventeen-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana. The investigation of a bizarre murder in 1995 is framed and interlaced with testimony from the detectives in 2012, when the case has been reopened.

The new HBO series, True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson premieres January 12, 2014 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark.

The third and final part of the Hunger Games Trilogy "Mockingjay" has begun filming, and there is still a couple months before the next installment "Catching Fire" blazes its way into theaters. So fans have good news on both counts.
