A time-traveling dirt bike racer (Fred Ward - Remo Williams, Tremors) winds up in the old west, bike and all, and hooks up with a hot Belinda Bauer (Flashdance, Airwolf), what's not to like? Sure the film is a bit dated by today's standard, but it is a fun romp, think about the story, and don't take it too serious, and you just might become a fan of the cult classic.
It should be noted that people are complaining about the Anchor Bay release of this film both the DVD and Blu-ray versions. There seems to be a little missing footage at the end of the movie (about 5 seconds), involving some boots without a body, and this makes the finale a bummer and a bit weak for those who remember it the way it ended in theaters, or HBO. Just had to mention it, I checked my copy of Timerider, which was before the Anchor Bay version, and the boots are there, yippie!
For those who want to see the missing segment here is the scene on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GqFnSmCObg
