Fallinmg Skies on TNTSynopsis (Mutiny - Air Date: Sunday August 7, 2011)
As the assault on the alien base draws closer, tension builds amongst the members of the 2nd Mass. Tom struggles to come to terms with Anne's new discovery about the Skitters.
Full Recap (spiolers)
Anne informs Tom about the harnessed Skitters, and Tom worries that Ben might not be completely free of the aliens. Anne also tells Tom that Weaver's been taking pills to help him get to sleep and wake up. She calls it a classic addiction cycle. As the 2nd Mass readies for the assault on the tall alien structure built over Boston, Tom wonders whether Weaver is still up for commanding the mission.
Meanwhile, Matt sticks close to Pope, despite Tom's warnings to stay away from the felon. At the very least, Pope doesn't treat the youngest Mason like a little kid, and Matt appreciates it.
Tom confronts Weaver about his addiction to painkillers, and Weaver locks Tom up for insubordination. Jimmy sees this, and he's torn between loyalty to Weaver and the survival of the 2nd Mass and the civilians.
Ben is helping Scott with trying to figure out which radio frequencies the aliens use to communicate. This might help in the upcoming mission. However, Ben is affected when Scott tunes the radio to a certain frequency, and Ben's scared to admit it. Ricky speaks to him, saying how much better it would be to just go back to the skitters and abandon humanity forever. Ben is scared of what he's becoming.
Hal helps his dad escape, and Tom finally talks some sense into Weaver. Everyone should know the truth about the mission. Dai has brought back news that Porter is missing and presumed dead. The rest of the Mass regiments have also been defeated, and if the 2nd Mass is going on the mission, they'd have to go alone. Weaver still wants to attack the structure, as a message to the aliens that the humans will always resist.
The 2nd Mass is split, with fifty volunteers following Weaver to Boston and the rest remaining at the school with Tom. The civilians will be evacuated as the remaining soldiers protect what's left of the group.
