Space Nazis Strike: Check Out an 'Iron Sky' Screening With Udo Kier This ThursdaySpace Nazis Strike: Check Out an 'Iron Sky' Screening With Udo Kier This Thursday

Not just any Nazis.  Space Nazis.

Unlike zombies, Nazis were an actual historical force, one responsible for the defining horror of the 20th Century.  Like zombies, though, Nazis have proven remarkably malleable cinematic bad guys.  With Iron Sky, those frighteningly crisp uniforms take to outer space, as it's revealed that a contingent of Nazis have been hiding on the dark side of the moon, plotting an invasion of Earth to establish a global Fourth Reich. Obviously, you're going to see this movie.  But why not see it at a special screening hosted by the one and only Udo Kier?

The screening goes down this Thursday, August 16th at the Laemmle NoHo 7 in North Hollywood at 8:00 pm sharp.  Tickets and details can be found by clicking right here.

Ordinarily, space Nazis would doubtless be enough to sate a moviegoer, but in this instance, Kier will be on hand to present Iron Sky, in which he plays the delightfully named Wolfgang Kortzfleisch.  The German actor is a cult film legend and has over two hundred credits to his name.  He's brought his singular style to roles in films including Suspiria, Blade, Melancholia, My Own Private Idaho, Breaking the Waves, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Armageddon, and Shadow of the Vampire.

Iron Sky is directed by Timo Vuorensola and has been gaining online momentum for years now.  The movie posits a surreal alternate history where Nazis secretly fled to the dark side of the moon in 1945 and have spent the decades since assembling unstoppable science fiction war machines and biding their time for the eventual invasion.

There's more Iron Sky information on the film's official Facebook page.

In addition to Udo Kier, the cast also includes Juli Dietze, Götz Otto, Kym Jackson, Peta Sergeant, Christoper Kirby, and Stephanie Paul.
