Family Ties in New Images from 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2'Family Ties in New Images from 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2'

While tabloid shenanigans unrelated to the actual movie have doubtless caused an aneurysm or two amongst the folks marketing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the movie will undoubtedly be just as commercially huge as it was always going to be.  As such, the promotional effort carries on with just about four months between now and the release, and a batch of four new images from the climactic Twilight movie show the characters happily hanging out in Forks.

So in this story adapting the second half of Stephenie Meyer's last vampire novel, the Volturi incorrectly hear tell that Renesmee, the offspring of Edward and Bella, is a volatile immortal child, a kid turned into a vampire.  That means that Renesmee and her parents are marked for death.  The Cullens must assemble a vampire posse to defend the family and show the Volturi that Renesmee is, in fact, half human and half vampire.

So there's some stuff going on in this last installment, but based on these images, which debuted at EW, everyone looks pretty well-adjusted and content.  Despite appearances, Robert Pattinson asserts that this movie is, "stranger than all the other films put together.''  So it's stranger than Part 1, in which Edward performs a c-section with his mouth and a werewolf imprints on a newborn.  Right on.

Since both parts of Breaking Dawn filmed as one big movie, Bill Condon is the only director in the franchise to direct more than a single entry.  There's been plenty of directorial variation, but every movie featured a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg.

You know the deal with the ensemble cast toplined by Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.  Also showing up this time are Peter Facinelli, Michael Sheen, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Maggie Grace, Dakota Fanning, Lee Pace, Elizabeth Reaser, Cameron Bright, Nikki Reed, Billy Burke, Jackson Rathbone, and Mackenzie Foy, who plays Renesmee.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 hits theaters on November 16th.
