Update: Sony has clarified that both the God of War and inFamous Collections will retail for $40 and not $30.
Sony has just announced a slew of game collections for the PS3 called "PlayStation Collections." The games getting this treatment are inFamous, Ratchet & Clank and God of War...yep, God of War already had an HD collection released but this is a bit different.
First up, the Ratchet & Clank Collection will include all first three games for the franchise but updated with shiny HD graphics and Trophy support.
The inFamous Collection will include the following:
- inFAMOUS
- inFAMOUS 2
- inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood
- Extra missions
- Additional character costumes, power ups and weapon styles
If you think that's impressive, the God of War Saga will include five games straight out of the box.
- God of War
- God of War II
- God of War III
- God of War: Origins Collection (which includes God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta)
- Exclusive Bonus Content
- Voucher For 1 Trial Month of PlayStation Plus
- Remastered for HD, DUALSHOCK Control, Full PlayStation Network Trophy Support and 3D (3D supported only in God of War III and God of War: Origins Collection)
Theses collections will be priced at $29.99 each. In addition to a retail release, Sony has also announced that the collections will be available on the PSN Store day-and-date of its physical counterparts which is on August 28.
Not a bad price, no? If you've yet to play a God of War game, that's one package that's hard to beat.
