Signal Studios, the developer responsible for tower defense Toy Soldiers and sequel Toy Soldiers: Cold War, has announced that their newest title, Ascend: New Gods will be getting a PC version, as well as the Xbox 360 and Windows Phone versions that were previously announced.
While some of the finer details are still vague, what we do know is that the PC version of Ascend: New Gods will be content-identical to the Xbox 360 version. What’s interesting is that, on top of being cross-platform, there will be some mutual interactivity between versions as well: PC players, for instance, will be able to interact with players using Xbox 360 or the Windows Phone versions. This kind of cross-platform interactivity serves a running theme in Ascend: New Gods of establishing one massive online world in which everyone can participate.
Ascend: New Gods was announced first at E3 and is scheduled for a 2013 release date. The multiplayer-focused turn-based strategy game is mythically-minded, offering up a world of gods, monsters, fearsome Titans and warring factions.
