Dev Sues Record Label Over 'Onerous' Contract, Claims She Was 'Manipulated'

The singer has taken legal action in order to void contracts that give a whopping 75 percent of her income to her handlers and allow them to deduct expenses "off the top" of her share.
The now-23-year-old mother-of-one claims the documents she signed as a naive 18-year-old with Indie-Pop LLC, attorney Joshua Andriano and managers Benjamin Willis and Carlo Fox should be "null and void." The Hollywood Reporter has obtained a copy of the suit and reports that Dev's contracts violate California's Seven Year Rule, which prohibits personal services contracts that extend past a seven-year period.
