The Harry Novak Collection: Volume 2

Novak by name, naughty by nature: producer Harry Novak was the softcore smut king of the ’70s.

“He sold sin and sensation with the words uncut, uncensored,” reckons a breathless lady in this boxset’s 40-minute doc.

The three films capture his ethos: from getting jiggy with Mark Antony in The Notorious Cleopatra (HH) to the flower-child orgies of horror flick The Toy Box (HHH) and the birth-control satire Wilbur And The Baby Factory (HH).

Like a cross between Ed Wood Jr. and Hustler magazine, it’s pure filth from a tamer age.
