We know who the nominees are, and we've taken a look at some of the biggest snubs, but now it's your turn to weigh in on the 2012 Emmy Awards TV Fanatics! Staff writer Dan Forcella is here to give you quick refresher on each of the major categories, and then turn it over to you all to let us know who should win come September 23.

Other categories previewed so far: Lead Actress ComedyLead Actor ComedySupporting Actress Comedy, Supporting Actor Comedy.

It's going to start to be both extremely interesting and extremely frustrating to see Modern Family win the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy year after year. Unlike its drama counterpart, Mad Men (analysis coming next week), Modern Family is no longer loved by critics like it was in season one. It has quickly declined in quality, but I don't see it losing the Academy's vote any time soon.

Three-time winner 30 Rock continues to be nominated, but has failed to win the past three seasons, and that shouldn't change now. Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Big Bang Theory are also in the mix, but it doesn't seem like the Academy prefers either to Modern Family in general, so it would seem only a newcomer has the chance to take the crown away from the defending champ.

Both Girls and Veep might have a shot at this thing. Both are on the Emmy-friendly HBO, and both have budding stars (a rookie and a veteran, respectfully). It may seem like Lena Dunham and Girls have the better chance due to its ridiculous high level of critical acclaim, but I think it may be Veep coming away victorious in September. It just has the feel of something the Emmys loves, and with Julia Louis-Dreyfus headlining, Veep could take it.

The big surprises in the category were the lack of nominations for both Louie and Parks and Recreation. While I'm not a big fan of either, critics in general certainly are, and the latter was actually nominated in this category last year! You had to think that once Parks made its way in, the backing of the masses would have kept it in. Nope, neither has made it.

Who did enough to win the prize? And who just didn't have the stuff? It's your turn to let us know who you think should win this year's Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Vote in the poll below and then sound off in the comments!
