The video cuts together two family dinners, one for Marty Huggins, played by Zach Galifianakis, and the other for Cam Brady, played by Ferrell. In the Huggins house, effeminate, good-natured Marty is basically the straight man as members of his family confess to a wide variety of strange activities, up to and including the forcible insertion of a firefly into a rectum. Brady, meanwhile, is a whirlwind of inappropriate comments, asking his adolescent son about the status of his pubic hair, which, he claims, his side of the family grows "thick and bushy."
The clip-trailer-thing, which debuted on IGN, isn't exactly NSFW, since there aren't any curse words or anything, but it does contain talk about goat fellatio, so yeah, watch out.
Formerly titled Southern Rivals, The Campaign focuses on a North Carolina Congressional campaign between Brady, a longstanding Congressman accustomed to running unopposed, and Huggins, a local imbecile recruited by a air of billionaires to unseat Brady. It's directed by Jay Roach, who is most known for his Austin Powers movies, as well as Meet the Parents and its first sequel, Meet the Fockers.
Ferrell and Galifianakis carry the film, but there are also supporting roles for Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Sarah Baker, Katherine LaNasa, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, and Dan Aykroyd.
The Campaign arrives on August 10th.
