Second 'The Bourne Legacy' Clip: Renner Rides Like the WindSecond 'The Bourne Legacy' Clip: Renner Rides Like the Wind

The second clip from The Bourne Legacy has arrived online, not much more than twenty-four hours after the first.  Yesterday's first clip from the sequel had Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz running from the authorities, with Renner's Aaron Cross showing some acrobatic skills in saving the lady from capture.  This new clip sticks to action, as Renner and Weisz fleeing the police on a motorbike.  This time, though, its not just the police, but a bad guy whose skills include hopping from one motorcycle to another.

Films in the Bourne franchise always include a bit of automotive mayhem via a chase scene or two, and The Bourne Legacy will be no exception.  The style is very much like the one utilized by Paul Greengrass on the last two films, but slightly less ballistic with the handheld camera work.  It's identifiable Bourne-y, though.  Between these two clips, Universal has established that the new installment will have familiar action, but it remains to be seen if the series can sustain itself without Bourne himself.

Check out the clip below or in high definition at Yahoo! Movies, where it premiered today.

So, while the events of The Bourne Ultimatum are making the Treadstone program that created Jason Bourne public, the guys behind next Treadstone's beefed up offspring, another assassination project.  In order to cover their asses, these suits dismantle the program, meaning killing all the assassins and everyone aware of its existence.  Cross manages to escape, along with a scientist who fuddled with his chromosomes.

Tony Gilroy directed from a screenplay by himself and Dan Gilroy.  Renner and Weisz lead a cast that features Edward Norton, Joan Allen, Oscar Isaac, Albert Finney, Corey Stoll, Scott Glenn, David Strathairn, Corey Johnson, Paddy Considine, and Stacy Keach.

The Bourne Legacy arrives in theaters on August 10th.
