Films in the Bourne franchise always include a bit of automotive mayhem via a chase scene or two, and The Bourne Legacy will be no exception. The style is very much like the one utilized by Paul Greengrass on the last two films, but slightly less ballistic with the handheld camera work. It's identifiable Bourne-y, though. Between these two clips, Universal has established that the new installment will have familiar action, but it remains to be seen if the series can sustain itself without Bourne himself.

So, while the events of The Bourne Ultimatum are making the Treadstone program that created Jason Bourne public, the guys behind next Treadstone's beefed up offspring, another assassination project. In order to cover their asses, these suits dismantle the program, meaning killing all the assassins and everyone aware of its existence. Cross manages to escape, along with a scientist who fuddled with his chromosomes.
Tony Gilroy directed from a screenplay by himself and Dan Gilroy. Renner and Weisz lead a cast that features Edward Norton, Joan Allen, Oscar Isaac, Albert Finney, Corey Stoll, Scott Glenn, David Strathairn, Corey Johnson, Paddy Considine, and Stacy Keach.
The Bourne Legacy arrives in theaters on August 10th.
