The fourth entry in a promised seven book series was anything but disappointing. It was glorious. The Fourteenth of Novosibirsk continues to spiral deeper into a quagmire of disparaging situations that causes one to wonder if there is a bottom to the rabbit hole. Someone who read the previous three books may have thought Scott Remington's restored faith would miraculously lead the Fourteenth to greatness, alas, how far from the truth that thought could be. It was a fast pace well written story that seemingly defines the overall plot to the series. As many revelations to questions this entry answers, it generated many more questions. Will a mantel left barren be presented to Scott? Will Scott accept? Is the dark souls of the Nightmen the ultimate answer to ending the conflict? Is faith truly that powerful? Will EDEN fall? Will the Golden Lion reach his full potential? As much as this story is about an alien invasion of Earth, for me, at it's heart, this story is a character study of faith. ~Jimmy D. Asher Jr.

The Glorious becoming is an amazing book, it has everything anyone could ask for in a SciFic action novel, guns, girls, explosions, conspiracies! And that doesn't even tip the scale of the greatness you'll experience when you read this book. The only thing I could recommend before jumping into TGB is to read the previous 3 books, they are equally classic in their own right. In all honesty, I see the Epic series going down as one of the best SciFi stories of our time! ~Randy
