As you can see in the image that debuted at 007.com, Whishaw's Q wears a sweater. The still serves as an official announcement from producers that Q is in the movie, but we've known about Whishaw's role since last November.

As played by Desmond Llewelyn, Q made his first appearance in From Russia With Love. Llewelyn brought his warmth and tongue in cheek humor to no less than seventeen subsequent Bond movies, but in 1999's The World Is Not Enough, which arrived a month before the actor's death, Llewelyn made his exit. In that film, he was replaced by John Cleese as R, but by the next movie, Die Another Day, Cleese's character was being called Q too.
Skyfall will surely be an introduction to Whishaw for many American moviegoers, but the thirty-one year-old actor previously appeared alongside Craig in Matthew Vaughn's Layer Cake, and he also appears on the much-loved British series The Hour. This fall, he'll be playing multiple roles in Cloud Atlas, the novel adaptation from the Wachowski Siblings and his Perfume: The Story of a Murderer director Tom Tykwer.
In the latest Bond movie, he is part of a large cast that also features Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCrory, and Albert Brooks.
Skyfall arrives on IMAX and standard screens Stateside this November 9th.
