Along with the 1.7.3 update to Minecraft 360, Xbox miners can purchase the first character skin pack. The DLC will drop next week and contains 40 skins to spice up your experience. When Minecraft 360 receives its update, players will be able to choose from eight Steve skins already included with the game. It's great to be Steve, but if you've ever had bigger dreams this DLC is for you.

Five of the skins have been revealed with the others still a mystery. ]Here are the characters we already know about:

– Creeper Man

– ‘Splosion Man

– Trials Man

– Covenant Grunt

– King

For gamers who choose not to purchase this DLC, you can try out the trial version that allows you to use some skins for free and see the rest of the pack's content.

There's something inherently sad to me that if someone wants to play Minecraft 360 they have to pay for skin packs to "customize" their character. Maybe playing Minecraft on my laptop has spoiled my appetite for DLC in this game. I already have 100+ custom skins that I created for free. However, short of programming a character creator, there isn't much that Mojang can do. If this is out of your price range, just enjoy the zen of the overall Minecraft experience. It doesn't matter what you look like, just if you're combustible.
