Now that the movie is actually shooting after a long development and a delay caused by unforeseen weather that caused the whole thing to relocate from Oz, the first photos from the Namibia set have emerged online. They don't feature Warrior and Star Trek: Nemesis star Hardy in leathers as the maddest of Maxes, but they do include the signature vehicular mayhem of the action series. Well, "mayhem" might be too strong a word, since it's really a big, complicated rig on one of those post-apocalyptic gas-guzzlers, as well as Victoria's Secret model-turned-actress Abbey Lee Kershaw.
Speaking of Abbe Lee Kershaw, these unofficial pictures showed up at a fansite of the supermodel, so big thanks to FY! Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Kershaw is joined in the film by fellow Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who made her feature film debut as an improbable love interest in last year's Transformers: Dark of the Moon. In a truly rare occurrence, though, the two supermodels will inevitably be eclipsed by the presence of Charlize Theron in the film. Theron leads the movie with Hardy, but the supporting cast also includes Nicholas Hoult, Richard Norton, Zoe Kravitz, and Riley Keough.
Mad Max: Fury Road does not yet a release date, but stay tuned for more news on the first Rockatansky adventure since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
