Resident Evil: Retribution has released a new banner poster featuring Milla Jovovich's Alice brandishing a pair of weapons against a distinctly apocalyptic backdrop.
Standing upon what appears to be a frozen sea, complete with frozen naval vessels bearing the Umbrella logo, Alice is dwarfed by the tagline, "Alice in Wasteland". It sounds a bit like Alice in Wonderland, you see? Well it doesn't really, but you get the idea they're going for.
The new film begins with Alice awakening within the bowels of one of Umbrella's operations facilities, battling her way out, and discovering that the outside world is on the brink of oblivion thanks to a widespread outbreak of the T-virus.
With nowhere safe to hole up in, our heroine must embark upon a globe-trotting quest to find those responsible for the pandemic, a journey that will take her from Tokyo to Moscow, via New York and DC.
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and co-starring Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand, Boris Kodjoe, Shawn Roberts, Colin Salmon, Johann Urb and Li Bingbing, Resident Evil: Retribution will open in the UK on 28 September 2012. Let the OTT explodiness begin!
