The Earth-2 Clark Luthor sends Clark Kent to that world, where he meets the alternate Jonathan Kent. While Lois turns to Emil for help to recover her husband-to-be, Clark Luthor seeks out Tess and demands her obedience.

Lois is working late when Clark arrives with Chinese takeout. She's working to get a promotion and Clark assures her that he's seen the future where she is a chief reporter. They commiserate briefly about how they can't find time together between their respective jobs, and Clark discovers that Martha has sent him the deed to the farm as a wedding gift. He wonders if she wants them to sell it.
At the Kent barn, an unearthly light fills the room and the alternate Clark Kent arrives using the mirror box.
The next morning, Marge Manners, a Smallville realtor, arrives at the Kent farm and a surprised Lois tries to figure out why she's there. She tries to discourage the realtor without success. Meanwhile, Clark arrives at the barn and discovers that someone has been going through his things. There's a mirror box on the table, and when he picks it up, Clark-2 comes in. he explains that the mirror box is the one from his universe and activates it at superspeed and then destroys it after Clark is teleported away.
Earth 2
Clark finds himself at a cemetery where Oliver Queen is being buried as his widow, Lois-2, looks on. As she notices Clark, Jonathan Kent comes storming up, insisting that Oliver stole his land and ruined the town. As Clark approaches the funeral, Lois-2 uses a piece of kryptonite on him, assuming he's Clark-2. Clark tries to explain and tells her about when they met on the roof of the Daily Planet. She accepts his explanation and tells him that Oliver-2 revealed Clark-2's identity as Ultra-Man and his weakness to kryptonite, and Clark-2 killed him in revenge. As the mourners recognize Clark, Lois-2 tells Clark to leave before they capture him. Clark says he needs to check something first, and thanks Lois-2 for her trust in him.
This Earth
Clark-2 receives a text message to Lois asking him to meet her. He removes his Luthor ring and goes to the new studio apartment she's rented and she fails to recognize who he really is. She complains about how Clark sold the farm without her, and she lost her only real home. Clark-2 plays along and assures her that they'll be together, and then asks about Lionel. Lois tells him about the Lionel-cam they've set up, and tells him that he'll have to get access from Tess, who is at the manor selling what's left of the property. Clark-2 starts to go, but Lois points out that she's brought his telescope along. He casually throws it away as sirens sound in the distant. Realizing what is happening, Lois asks if he's going to deal with the emergency and Clark-2 superspeeds away. She calls Tess, who is away from her phone dealing with the contractors at the ruined manor.
As the contractors leave, Clark-2 arrives and is upset at the destruction. Tess asks him if he wants to help tear the place down, and Clark-2 points out that destroying it won't change the fact that she's a Luthor. He talks about how he can understand what it means to be an outsider, but Tess soon realizes that he's the alternate Clark. He realizes that she knows and starts to advance on her, saying that she and Lionel-2 are all the matter. The contractors return, interrupting them, and Clark-2, leaves, saying they have plenty of time.
Earth 2
Clark goes to the Kent house and discovers that it's been abandoned. Jonathan ambushes him, using a piece of kryptonite to weaken him.
This Earth
Lois calls Emil to the farmhouse, and he explains that he secretly collected the remains of their world's mirror box. He tries to reassemble it and assures her that they'll get her Clark back.
At Watchtower, Clark-2 tries to access the Lionel-cam surveillance program without success. Meanwhile, Tess calls Lois and Emil and says that she'll try and stall Clark-2 while they finish repairing the mirror box. She arrives at her Daily Planet Office and finds a present from him: a dress and an invitation to the Ace of Clubs that night. Clark-2 comes in behind her and says that he knows all about her, and then leaves.
Earth 2
Clark wakes up and finds himself tied to a chair with a piece of kryptonite nearby. He tries to explain to Jonathan that he's not who he thinks he is, but Jonathan accuses him of single-handedly destroying everything he cared about. He explains that the meteor shower destroyed the farm, and Queen bought it out along with the rest of Smallville so he could obtain the kryptonite he needed to oppose Ultra-Man. Clark realize that Jonathan has been living there alone for years, and Jonathan says that he found a piece of gold meteor rock among the debris. However, now he plans to turn in Clark for the reward money and use it to buy back the deed to the farm. Clark asks about Martha and what it means without her, and Jonathan says that she gave up on him the first chance she had. When Clark says that Jonathan is nothing without her, Jonathan-2 kicks him to the floor. Clark tries to explain that in his world, Jonathan and Martha were married and found Clark on the day of the meteor shower, and asks him to untie him so he can show him one thing.
This Earth
Clark-2 arrives at Ace of Clubs and finds Tess waiting for him in the dress he gave her. He leads her to a table and pours champagne, and explains that he knew she would figure it out eventually. Clark-2 explains that she gets flustered when she's not in control, just like the Tess he knows, and points out that Clark doesn't appreciate her as a partner or as woman. He wants her and Lionel, and Tess says that she won't help him murder his adopted father. Clark-2 knows all about her nightmares of abandonment, and her hope to defeat Lionel, and promises to help her defeat Lionel. He explains that on his world, everyone knows how to kill him, and he wants a fresh start. To have that, he has to kill Lionel. Tess confirms that if she doesn't help him, he'll kill her.
Earth 2
Jonathan-2 accepts Clark's story and starts to seal away the kryptonite, and tells him the police are on his way. Clark takes out a hidden shotgun and gives it to Jonathan, explaining that it belonged to his grandfather. He tells Jonathan-2 that his counterpart taught him everything he knows about being fair and just, and that Jonathan was a hero without powers. He refuses to leave Jonathan-2, and says that Martha is still there and he still has a chance if he'll risk everything rather than hold onto nothing. When Jonathan-2 asks who told him that, Clark says that his Jonathan did. As the police arrive, Jonathan-2 tells him goodbye and good luck... calling him son. As they try to hug, Clark is pulled back to the Kent farm on his Earth as Emil completes the repairs on the mirror box. He tells Lois that he was there with his father, and then asks where he can find Clark-2.
This Earth
Clark-2 takes Tess to her office and she has no choice but to bring the Lionel-cam program online. As she works, she asks what he plans to do with Lionel-2. Clark-2 asks if she's debating whether to kill Lionel-2, and Tess says she'll do it. She gives him a GPS tracker and tells Clark-2 to follow it. Once he leaves, Tess starts to reroute the signal. Clark-2 returns with a bottle of champagne and says that it's done. He shoves the desk out of the way and starts to kiss her, and then says that he knows she reprogrammed the tracker. He shoves her out the window and dangles her out over the street, and Tess insists that Lionel is her father and she couldn't let him die. She admits that she wants a life with him, but Clark-2 says that he could never trust her.
Clark-2 starts to drop Tess, but Clark arrives, takes her somewhere safe, and returns to the office. Clark-2 attacks him, smashing his counterpart through a wall. Clark superspeeds to the Fortress and Clark-2 goes after him. Clark explains that their birth father is there, but Clark-2 says that it's nothing but an empty box. He says that he made his way fine, but Clark points out that there's still a chance for redemption for him. When Clark points out that he could have killed Tess immediately but didn't, Clark-2 asks why Clark believes in him. Clark tells him that without Lionel, he can choose a new life. He then calls out to Jor-El, who activates the mirror box and sends Clark-2 back to the Fortress on his world. The Jor-el there activates and welcomes Clark-2 home, calling him son.
Later, Emil meets with Tess and informs her that he's checked Clark's report about gold kryptonite and confirmed that it could strip Clark of his powers. He admits he was checking the surveillance data and saw her and Clark-2 on their "date," and notes that she appeared tempted by Clark-2's offer to kill Lionel. When Tess says that he doesn't know her as well as he thinks, Emil says that he does but she might not realize it about herself.
The next day at the farm, Clark looks over his home as Lois comes out. She notices that he's wearing his father's jacket for the first time, but Clark says he doesn't need things to remind him of what he had there. Lois asks what he saw on the other side that has shaken him up, but Clark says all he did was try to find his way back home. He then says that he didn't call the realtor, and Lois admits that she realized that Marge came on her own when she saw the "for sale sign." Clark admits that he's been trying to hold onto things that used to protect him, and that he's known for a while they should move to Metropolis. However, he was afraid of losing himself. Lois promises that she'll never let that happen, and that Clark is her home. Clark says that he'll call the realtor in the morning.
Earth 2
On the other world, Jonathan-2 goes to the apartment of Martha Kent. After a moment's hesitation, he pushes the doorbell.
