Don't worry, there's also lots of lush imagery, quickly-glimpsed action, and a three-way between Blake Lively, Taylor Kitsch, and Aaron Johnson.
Kitsch and Johnson play Chon and Ben, two enterprising young Orange County inhabitants who oversee their own hugely successful home-grown marijuana business with their mutual girlfriend, Ophelia, played by Lively. The profitable endeavor attracts the attention not only of law enforcement, but of a hugely powerful drug cartel. When the boys refuse to cede their territory, the cartel abducts O, inciting Chon and Ben to an all-out war.

The story is based on the novel of the same name by Don Winslow. Oliver Stone directs from a screenplay by himself, Winslow, and Shane Salerno. Based on everything we've seen, Stone is invoking late-period Tony Scott with a jumped up editing style and handheld camerawork bringing this lurid, violent tale to life.
So for the cast, we've got Kitsch, Johnson, and Lively at the center, along with Salma Hayek as Elena, the cartel boss, Benicio Del Toro as her favorite enforcer, Demian Bechir as a lawyer, and John Travolta as a DEA agent. Emile Hirsch and Joel David Moore also make appearances in supporting roles.
Savages hits theaters on July 6th.
