There are already two Forerunner weapons that the public knows by name as the Scattershot and the Light RIfle via the Halo 4 campaign walkthrough at E3. And thanks to NeoGAF user Demoncarnotaur, we can take a more indepth look at three currently unidentified weapons appearing in the new Halo title.
The grip on this gun is consistent with an assault rifle or something automatic with less accuracy than the Light Rifle, so more than likely that's exactly what it is. It looks as though there might also be iron sights attached to this weapon, keeping in step with an assault rifle theory. Decals look about the same, except some circular designs creating a more organic pattern than the Light Rifle.

Since this is the longest Forerunner weapon we have seen to date, it can be assumed that this is a sniper rifle. I don't know much about alien tech, but I'm thinking I'll need a bigger scope if that's the case. Maybe the Forerunner's have their magnification tech down pat, but that is a seriously small scope. I think the Light Rifle has a larger scope than this.
The last weapon is stout with a thick circular barrel and since we already know this can't be a shotgun, anyone's best bet is a grenade launcher or an SMG with secondary grenade fire. Just something with grenades.
I'd be curious to see smaller one-hand weapons, circa the Mauler, for some future dual wielding action. A girl can dream, can't she? Let us know what other types of weapons you hope the Forerunners are toting in Halo 4.
