Seth Killian, community manager at Capcom, announced in a very heartfelt blog post that he is leaving the developer.
Killian writes, “I have chosen a new path which will let me embrace a new dream, but to everyone that ever believed in this dream we shared together, let me say this final thanks. I will leave as I began–a Capcom fan for life, looking forward to all the great games still to come.”
What follows is nothing short of a tear-jerking recount of how Killian came to be in his position, and what working for Capcom has meant to him. It's very personal and very much like the Seth Killian gamers have come to know over the past few years. As one of the more well-liked figures in the fighting game community, the amicable seperation might be the best piece of press Capcom has received in quite some time.
Killian has announced his last day at Capcom is June 22nd, this Friday.
