The most recent Call of Duty titles have featured plenty of PC-specific features. Despite not providing dedicating servers in Modern Warfare 2, the latter two titles—Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops—brought back support due to the avalanche of criticism Infinity Ward faced for its decision to omit it.
Today, Treyarch has confirmed that Black Ops 2 will support dedicated servers. It's unknown whether they will disable dedicated servers for ranked matches like Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer did with Modern Warfare 2, however.
In addition to the confirmation of dedicated servers, Treyarch's Cesar Stastny says that the Steam version of Black Ops 2 is slated to offer pre-order bonuses. No more details were provided, but hopefully they'll be along the lines of hats for Team Fortress 2 or DOTA2.
Stastny added that the in-game mouse sensitivty for Black Ops 2 has been tweaked due to criticism from players about its apparent 'slowness' in Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set for release on November 13 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
