Horror's in a crap state over here, isn't it? Amy got close by being horrible, but that's not quite the same. I Am Alive was a matter of stamina management and survival tension, rather than genuine squirt-one-out horror. Then there's Dead Space, which looks like it may have dumped its beautiful dominatrix mistress to have a fling with a cardboard cut-out of a cheerleader.
