Samuel L. Jackson is making a return to Spike this year as the host of the tenth annual VGAs. Thousands of people worldwide tune in every year for a night of exclusive video game trailers, first-time reveals, humourous acceptance speeches and the pass to take part in the after-show bitching. This year promises to be an incredible show with Spike going all out for the 10th anniversary, but whether it manages to impress is yet to be seen.
From the press release:
“I’m thrilled to once again preside over the biggest night of gaming,” said Jackson. “And to all the gamers out there – you better circle the date right now and not make any plans that night – you don’t want to be that one guy among your friends who misses this show.”
“Sam is a gamer, an icon and one badass host,” said Casey Patterson, Executive Producer and Executive Vice President, Event Production, Talent & Studio Relations for Viacom Entertainment Group. “We are thrilled to have him back at the controls for ‘VGA Ten’ as we celebrate a decade in the gaming universe.”
