In antoher movie infomercial for a self-help book, four women use Steve Harvey’s Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man to work out what makes men tick.

Deflecting criticisms of one-dimensional characters by having the leads fit the clichés – mama’s boy, player, noncommitter – Tim Story’s (Barbershop) romcom is a tolerable US hit that may struggle to find a UK audience.

The talent in front of the camera (Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union) help detract from faults behind it but any film that gives Curb Your Enthusiasm’s J.B. Smoove little more than a walk-on needs more thought.
