Bored with school in the Home Counties, middle-class Tia (Ashley Madekwe) takes her gap year in sunny south London, moving in with chav cousin Davina and a gang of teenage armed robbers.

As Tia falls for brooding pack leader Tyson (Ashley Chin) – trying to raise his little sister and pay off his waster mum’s gambling debts with “one last job” – it doesn’t take long for everyone to wish she’d stayed at home.

Anuva barrel of ’hood clichés it might be, but the sharp cast and snappy script (by Chin and co-star Michael Maris) make it fresher and funnier than it sounds.
