Sculptor and gamer Daniel Ritthanondh has put together a barnacle ceiling lamp inspired by Half-Life and its sequel, Half-Life 2.
In both the Half-Life games, the barnacles would latch themselves to just about anything that passed under their long tongues, pulling the hapless victim to his or her doom. Gordon Freeman was smarter than they were, of course, and he'd send them to their deaths by having them latch onto an explosive barrel which he could then blow up.
While the ceiling lamp is nowhere as deadly as the ones in the game (unless you like playing with electricity and sticking your fingers into live sockets), it's certainly creepy to look at.
