skyrim dawnguard dlc
Bethesda has been hard at work with Skyrim even since the game's release. Aside from pumping out patch after patch, the developers have been focusing most of their efforts on Dawnguard, the first ever DLC—and full fledged expansion of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The new expansion is set to offer two new factions to which the player can align his or herself to, which includes the vampire lords, and those who seek to hunt them down, the Dawnguard.
In addition to previously revealed information about the game's factions—each side will provide you with access to a keep, replete with an inventory of items and powers to use—you'll now face off against a host of new monsters. Said powers will even allow you to transform into a vampire lord.
With your newfound abilities, you'll be on the hunt for legendary dragons that are said to be even more powerful than the ancient dragons previously encountered in Skyrim. By downing these dragons, you'll even earn access to dragonshouts unique to the Dawnguard expansion pack.
In addition to dragons, you'll also face gargoyles, death hounds, and armored trolls, all of whom will prove a difficult challenge.
Dawnguard is set for release for the Xbox 360 before PC and PS3 owners can play with it about a month later. Until then, there's always mods.
