Platinum Games is developing a brand new title called Project P-100 (working title) for the Nintendo Wii U which is set for release upon the console's launch this holiday season.
Described as a "mass-hero action" game, players take control of a massive group of unlikely heroes with special abilities to team up and fend off an alien invasion. The aliens, as it just so happens, are huge, and so the heroes must morph into gigantic weapons to crush their invaders.
The heroes can combine into powerful weapons like giant fists to smash their opponents or turn into a gigantic bridge to traverse the environment. They're a bit like fire ants in that way. Using the Wii U GamePad's touch screen, players can control and command heroes like Bonzai Man, Vending Machine Man, and Toilet Bowl Man and use their special powers.
Players must explore each stage to find helpless citizens and recruit them to join their army of heroes. As more heroes gather, the greater their special powers will become.
