Doom 3 may be over a decade old, but Bethesda and id Software plan to relaunch the title in a new "BFG Edition" for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is also available on the PC.
The BFG Edition of Doom 3 is a collection of games which includes Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, and the so-called "Lost Mission" expansion, which has never before seen release.
Apart from the retro content, all the Doom 3 content has been remastered for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with new added support for 3D, and seven new levels in "The Lost Mission."
This is the first time the series has appeared on the PlayStation 3.
Could Bethesda be ramping up for a Doom 4 announcement at E3? Only time will tell.
