More 'Dark Knight Rises' Stuff: Banners and MTV Movie Awards FootageMore 'Dark Knight Rises' Stuff: Banners and MTV Movie Awards Footage

There's no question that The Dark Knight Rises is going to be huge.  The only question is just how huge it will be; how much money it'll generate and how completely it will dominate the popular culture.  In order to ensure that Christopher Nolan's Batman finale is a unstoppably massive as possible, Warner Bros. is pulling out many a stop.  If you're not already suffering from Bat-fatigue on account of yesterday's big promo-dump, then today we have two new international banners and details on some happenings on this year's MTV Movie Awards.

In just about a week and a half, on Sunday, June 3rd, MTV will air the annual shindig at which it gives away golden popcorn to those films voted as winners by the fans.  This year's MTV Movie Awards are hosted by rakish gent Russell Brand, and though it won't be up for any popcorn, The Dark Knight Rises will have a presence there.  Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are set to present some exclusive footage from the sequel.

Last year, the show was host to the very first look at moving images from The Hunger Games, and it seemed to work out pretty well for that franchise-starter.

Here's the official announcement from MTV:

MTV today announced that the "2012 MTV Movie Awards" will feature exclusive footage from Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' highly anticipated film THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, with director, writer, producer Christopher Nolan and actors Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman on hand to celebrate the "Dark Knight" trilogy. Hosted by comedian, actor and TV personality Russell Brand, the "2012 MTV Movie Awards" will air live on Sunday, June 3, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

MTV also announced today that Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey, stars of the upcoming film MAGIC MIKE, will join its impressive line-up of presenters, including: Adam Sandler, Emma Watson, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg. Chart-topping indie-pop group fun. and rapper Wiz Khalifa are set to perform.

Known as one of the most outrageous and distinctive televised award shows, the "2012 MTV Movie Awards" will feature its trademark individuality and irreverence. Fusing the network's musical core with the wonder and amazement of the comedy, drama, adventure and mystery inherent to the movie-going experience, the telecast is set to provide more laughs, surprises and one-of-a-kind moments with Hollywood's biggest stars gathering to honor fan-favorites from the past year.

MTV fans hold the "Power of the Popcorn" awards in their hands with voting available online via MovieAwards.MTV.com through Saturday, June 2. As always, voting for "Movie of the Year" will remain open throughout the live show on Sunday, June 3.

Nolan co-wrote his last Batman movie as director with his brother, The Dark Knight screenwriter Jonathan Nolan.  The duo were working from a story by the director and David S. Goyer, who co-wrote Batman Begins.

It's the last movie in this series for Bale and Oldman, as well as Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.  It's the first and last for Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Matthew Modine, Josh Pence, and Juno Temple.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20th.
