'Dark Knight Rises' Round-Up: TV Spots, Images, and Banners'Dark Knight Rises' Round-Up: TV Spots, Images, and Banners

Last summer, when the massive production was shooting all over the world, we were already in danger of The Dark Knight Rises overexposure.  The pre-existing white-knuckle, mouth-foaming anticipation for the last entry in this Batman trilogy doesn't mean that Warner Bros. is resting on any laurels in promoting Christopher Nolan's last Bat-movie.  Quite the contrary, folks.

Today we have a veritable flood of new material from the biggest battle for Gotham that we've yet witnessed.  I'm talking about two thirty-second TV spots, a huge mess of official images, and no fewer than three banners/billboards that convey the scale of Batman and Bane's conflict.

First up, thanks to Batman-News, we have the two commercials, both of which feature quite a bit of previously-unseen footage from the sequel.  The first focuses on Bruce Wayne's return to crimefighting following an absence motivated either by eight years of peace and prosperity in Gotham or a massive ass-kicking from Bane.  The second keeps things centered on Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, a lady who takes what she wants right when she wants it.

Moving on to the images.  These seven also debuted at Batman-News, and include a look at Christopher Nolan directing Christian Bale and Morgan Freeman.

And here are five more, thanks to Empire Online:

Finally, here are the three banners/billboards, which premiered at Collider as part of the site's set-visit preview:

July 20th on standard and IMAX screens.  See you there.
