Bachchan is an Indian film icon who has been starring in films for four decades and currently serves as the host of the Indian Who Wants to be a Millionaire when he's not working on films. In The Great Gatsby, he'll be making his American debut playing Meyer Wolfsheim, a money lender whose suavity is betrayed by the fact the he believes Jay Gatsby attended "Oggsford."
The first look at Wolfsheim debuted at Hollywood Reporter, and Bachchan took to his Twitter to exaggerate, “I play Meyer Wolfsheim for about a few seconds... by the time you look down on your popcorn to pick another morsel, I'd be gone from the film...he, he...kinda short service... But with giants of Hollywood - Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire.”

There are many familiar faces in this movie, but let's not forget that Catherine Martin served as costume designer and production designer. She's done that on every previous Luhrmann joint, from Strictly Ballroom to Australia, and anybody who has seen Moulin Rouge knows that Martin is basically an additional star in any movie to which she contributes.
But back to the familiar faces. DiCaprio leads the cast, with Maguire as naive narrator Nick Carraway. Carey Mulligan plays Daisy Buchanan, the object of Gatsby's misguided affections and her wealthy, bigoted husband Tom is portrayed by Joel Edgarton. Jason Clarke and Isla Fisher also play crucial roles as mechanic George Wilson and his wife, Myrtle.
The Great Gatsby brings the 3D to Fitsgerald on December 25th of this year.
