A new featurette promoting Prometheus puts the focus squarely on Theron and Vickers, a rigid professional who is unerringly devoted to her job and protecting Weyland's interests. Naturally, this brings her into conflict with the scientists serving higher principals in trying to discover the intergalactic origins of life on Earth.
As with damn near anything related to the secretive movie, this featurette includes spoilers. If you're trying to stay clean, avoid the video, as it covers a few spoilery bits we've seen in recent marketing materials and some entirely new nuggets that definitely qualify as spoilers. Then again, it also includes Oscar-winner Theron doing what appear to be nearly-naked pushups. So yeah.
Theron's rigidity is actually more total than Michael Fassbender's, which is of note since he's playing a robot. At least Fassbender's got a weird childlike thing going. Theron's just a boss from the depths of hell. These two are members of a cast that also features Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Rafe Spall, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson.
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he helped create in his 1979 classic Alien. He's aided and abetted by screenwriters Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof.
Pick up some Rogue 3D Eyewear post hate in order to see Prometheus in style when it arrives on June 8th.
