Snobbery is a fascinating and sadly ineradicable thing. Even in the enlightened world of videogames, where all genders and races are equal and nobody wants for nothing, you'll find people scorning one another's choice of escapist fantasy. A Twitter random recently bashed me for obsessing about Minecraft Xbox 360, for instance, arguing that the current version's refusal to supply real objectives makes it a pointless play.
