The promo is really just a TV spot, one that intermixes basketball footage with familiar snippets of the film, using taglines like, "Enemies Collide" and "Heroes emerge" to bring home the connection between the DC Comics hero and the NBA Playoffs.
So there's nothing new from the film here, but it's really just a glimpse of how pervasive the marketing for this Batman finale is going to get over the next two months. It's going to be inescapable, folks. It might just make The Avengers ubiquitous marketing look quaint.
You know the deal here. Bane comes to town, bringing an agenda that's at once revolutionary and despotic. He breaks Batman and takes control of the city, but Bruce Wayne and his allies are tough to keep down.
Christian Bale returns as Batman, along with Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman. Tom Hardy plays Bane, while Anne Hathaway is the latest actress to play Selina Kyle. Other newcomers include Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, Matthew Modine, and Josh Pence.
The Dark Knight Rises arrives on regular-sized and IMAX-sized screens on July 20th.
