The featurette, which debuted at Yahoo! New Zealand, is twice as long as its predecessor and uses that time to more comprehensively explore the notion behind the whole movie, while also introducing some new dialogue exchanges and visuals. Also, it concludes with that lovely quotation from Sir Ridley Scott, saying, "Of course, what I want to do is scare the living shit out of you." Please do, sir. Please do.
Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly unveiled an impressive gallery of Prometheus images, including no small amount of candid behind-the-scenes and promotional shots. It's definitely worth taking a look at, and you can find it by clicking right here.
In addition to the huge photodump you'll find over there, though, six new stills straight from the movie showed up on the film's official facebook page today, and you can see all six right here.

As much as superheroes are doing their superheroic thing at multiplexes is a cause for excitement, Prometheus promises to be something altogether unique and potentially very, very special. It'd be worth getting psyched about Ridley Scott returning to science fiction for the first time since Blade Runner thirty years ago, let alone returning to the Alien universe, but the fact that Prometheus actually looks smart and scary is cause for crazy-excitement.
Also, Scott shot this beast in 3D, the first time he's ever dabbled in the format. More often than not, 3D's a gimmick and a cheap ploy to ratchet up ticket prices, but when a veteran with Scott's visual chops gives it a go, it might just be worth shilling out three more bucks a ticket.
Prometheus hits theaters on June 8th.
