Production on the sequel wrapped some time ago, meaning we saw a slackening in the pace of Diesel's frequent photographic updates from the set. But still, the actor once again took to his facebook, posting this photo as a follow-up to this update from last week:
"The studio said the earliest they could release the new 'Riddick' is in January... was hoping for 2012... but, it's on the horizon. /smile P.s. I think they are liking what they are seeing... haha, cause they asked when both Underverse and Furya would be ready to make and release... haha... now that's a ways in the future but it is exciting."

So, Riddick fans, you might be ringing in 2013 with the anti-hero. In a more recent update, Diesel said that Riddick is in post-production and also shared his excitement for his other signature franchise, saying, "Filming Fast this summer is going to be incredible, haha... Thank you again for the opportunity to make magic." The sixth entry of The Fast and the Furious franchise is set to film in Europe with Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and the rest of the gang.
After sliding the character into a less fittingly heroic mode for 2004's The Chronicles of Riddick, Diesel and director David Twohy have modified their plan for an epic science-fiction trilogy for Riddick and opted instead to take him back to to his down and dirty R-rated roots. Like Pitch Black, the character's introduction, this sequel finds him marooned on a desolate planet with hungry, wild aliens, along with a band of mercenaries eager to collect the bounty on Richard Riddick's shiny head.
Karl Urban will reprise his Chronicles of Riddick role in what is essentially a cameo, while newcomers to the franchise include Katee Sackhoff, Jordi Molla, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Raoul Trujillo, and Keri Hilson.
