In a move that fans can testify as being very in character for the franchise, THQ has announced that Volition is making their once thoughtful April Fool's Joke a reality; Saint's Row: The Third's Enter The Dominatrix expansion launches this fall.
The new, standalone adventure takes right after The Third's conclusion and sees the 3rd Street Saints targeted by an alien invader after being returned to their perplexingly god-like celebrity status.
The gimmick here is the inclusion of super powers. That combined with the alien invasion story makes this a ripe opportunity for an Avengers parody.
Saint's Row: The Third was not only my favorite game last year, it became one of my very favorite games ever. It's a game not only written as intelligent as it is hilariously crude, but it's an open-world game with extremely cohesive design. It's structured so that the player is always doing something interesting in the campaign and it gives them a wealth of ways to make mischief on the side.
Saint's Row: The Third's Enter The Dominatrix is a standalone, disc-based expansion. It will retail for $29.99 and it will launch on the PS3, 360, and PC this fall. THQ will release more details this summer
