Kinect Joy Ride, one of the launch titles for Kinect, is getting a sequel, Joy Ride Turbo. Unlike most major sequels, however, the second Joy Ride game will be dropped its biggest feature: its control scheme won't be making a comeback. The original Joy Ride was supposed to be a free-to-play XBLA game and was hijacked by Kinect later in development, so it's nice to see that the developers will be releasing this as a digital-only title, although you'll have to pay 800 points for the game.
With a handful of modes to pick from (including a stunt park, which gives players the opportunity to muck about at high speeds), lots of cars to unlock, four player local multi-player, online races and much, much more, it looks like Joy Ride Turbo could be the game the first should have been.
With Skyrim suddenly getting (questionable...) Kinect support, it's nice to see a developer decide, actually, sometimes a controller IS the best way to play a game.
