Super Smash Bros
PlayStation All-Stars is the talk of the town today, sure. But fans have been awaiting details on the next entry in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series since the day it's development was confirmed for Wii U and 3DS.
Now the series creator and director, Nintendo's Masahiro Sakurai has told IGN he wants to do more than just expand the current volume of the game by adding characters and content (though, I'd be willing to guarantee him that would satisfy most fans).
Sakurai recognizes that throughout the series three entries released so far, the formula has been successful, but it's evolved little. He wants to implement a change and he says the fact that the game will be on 3DS and Wii U will be key to this.
As a huge fan myself, I just hope the fighting feels more Melee than Brawl. I will say Sakurai should take in care in altering the Smash formula. I've heard people question some of the design choices in his last game, Kid Icarus: Uprising on 3DS.
With E3 right around the corner and the Wii U set to have a big showing, I don't think it's too much to guess we'll see the next Smash Bros. in the flesh very soon.
