Michael Pachter is an interesting fellow. How he ever really got involved in the analysis of video games is beyond me, but apparently he is the head honcho when it comes to deducing release dates and the reasoning behind publishers' moves. I guess when you are a math-science guy in an english-history industry, a lot of opportunities come up.
That does not change the fact that 'ole "Pach-man" here is usually wrong. He has a lot of hype around him, yet his predictions are worse than my little brother's fake, made-out-of-cardboard weather station. However, he is entertaining, and entertainment is valuable.
In any case, the Wedbush Morgan financial analyst thinks that we will see gameplay of "Grand Theft Auto: V" before E3 and that the game will be wielding of an October 23rd release date. "So if I had to bet, I’d say you’d get an announcement on GTA V the day before E3 starts, that’d be Monday, June 4," said Pachter.
Will he prove me wrong? Maybe, but this is my prediction - my industry analysis. I am an "expert" on these things, you know...
