Today Mr. Sulu turns 75. Yes, George Takei has graced this world for 75 years now and Star Trek band Five Year Mission made a song just for him. I've just recently started following Takei on Facebook where he posts various pictures from fans and around the net including the one above. A lot of the time his wit and humor brings joy into my life. His stance on gay rights is also inspiring. Remember, it's O.K. to be Takei.
I'll admit that I've never watched the original Star Trek but I have watched Enterprise and TNG. With my recent acquisition of a Kindle Fire and Amazon Prime I just might spend some time watching the original series and boldly go where no man has gone before.
