Datura
Datura, an exclusive PlayStation 3 title from Sony Santa Monica and Poland-based Plastic Studios, has finally been dated for release on May 8 in the United States and on May 9 in Europe. The release date was revealed through the game's official product page.
Datura is described as a unique adventure game that relies heavily on the PlayStation Move controller. The game can however be played without a Move controller, but the experience is not expected to be as immersive without it.
In an interview with Siliconera, the game's director Michal Staniszewski explained a bit about the game's intro sequence, which has the player waking up (or perhaps dying) at the back of an ambulance:
"I wanted to show something like what happens after death, and you don’t know if the main character, which is you, is dead or not, or if it’s a dream or not. You will discover that later on in the game. But, in the beginning, we wanted you to feel like you’ve died and what happens after that."
Needless to say, the game sounds as interesting as Journey does, so it's definitely worth watching. And in case you were wondering, Datura is a genus of plant.
