There's An Alien Goatee in This New 'Battleship' ClipThere's An Alien Goatee in This New 'Battleship' Clip

Yesterday, we saw a clip from Battleship that featured no aliens whatsoever, but instead focused on three humans in a bar, far away from even the ocean.  Today, there's another new Battleship clip, and this one actually takes place on a battleship and also features an extraterrestrial.  In fact, the extraterrestrial is the focus of the thing, so even though there's 100% less Brooklyn Decker than yesterday's clip, this one does offer a first look at unmasked alien bad guy.

And he's got a goatee.  A great big spiky bit of facial hair, ordinarily kept hidden under his armored helmet, which is we've been seeing in trailers, commercials, posters, and what have you.  Sorry to ruin the surprise, but how often do you see that sort of thing?

Check out the hirsute extraterrestrial in the video below, thanks to Coming Soon.

That's Jesse Plemons exclaiming "Not dead" at the end of the clip, most assuredly calling back to comments made prior to the clip itself.  Of course, he's listening to Rihanna through most of the clip, and apparently her father lived in fear of an alien threat, acturately predicting "that one day we'd find them, or they'd find us."  Did he also predict that they'd arrive with goatees?

Taylor Kitsch is examining the villain, while Tadanobu Asano and John Tui are lending assistance.  The rest of the cast not included in this clip includes the likes of Alexander Skarsgard, Liam Neeson, Josh Pence, Peter MacNicol, Hamish Linklater, and Stephen Bishop.

Battleship is already in theaters around the world, but you'll have to wait until May 18th to see it Stateside.
